I've gone six months without missing a day of posting, and yet I can't think of anything to say today. It was a gorgeous day--you could hear the birds singing even from inside the house--so I spent some time outside with the dogs, then came back in and got a good bit of work done. My jaw's bothering me, though; I must have been clenching it again. ( Read more... )

Also, the image of him attacking her is LOLtastic.

BEST MOVIE EVER.

I'm still trying to find where on the DVD that is, or if it's on another store's version of the DVD, or YouTube, or what.

I have the Target version too, and I just watched that scene, but I was so O_O at the moment I completely forgot what disc it's on. It may be on that super-long thing about THE WHOLE GENERAL CREATION OF THE MOVIE. I think that's it, because it ain't a deleted scene. Terrible Victoria/James make out is though.

It wasn't, because I just watched the super-long thing! And I also watched the extended and deleted scenes! On "Play all," even! ARGH. But if you have the Target version and you saw it, it's got to be in there.

Terrible Victoria/James Makeout was hilarious, though. Although, the more I saw of Rachelle Lefevre talking, the more I liked her.

I suppose it's on the third disc, then? All the things you just mentioned are on the first/second discs, so that's the only thing I can think of.

I guess that would make sense--I haven't watched the third disc yet, which would be why I haven't found it, I guess. I'll keep an eye out for it there.

AHA! I FOUND IT! It's on Disc 3, bonus features. It's at the end of Catherine Hardwicke's Vampire Kiss Montage. First it's Carlisle turning Edward, then Carlisle turning Esme, then that gothic Edward/Bella bite, and then the attack in biology from the gif.

Huh--I didn't realize there would be anything in there other than the goth vampire fantasy. Interesting.

That's the version of the scene from Edward's imagination/POV in Midnight Sun. Catherine Hardwicke said they filmed something from MS, and I guess that was it.

THANK GOD they cut that scene, I would seriously have had heart failure in the movie theatre. xD

Well, the thing is, they couldn't have used it anyway--it's not from Bella's POV, and it can't even be her imagining what it would be like if he freaked out on her, because at that point in the movie, she doesn't know he's a vampire. I'm honestly not sure why they filmed it, except that maybe since they were already there...? Hardwicke seemed to want to include it as some kind of extra, but I can't figure out where on whose DVD set it is.

There's another scene they also left out that seems to be improvised, where Bella offers Edward her finger and he bites it, and that's another one they totally couldn't have ever used, because it must not have occurred to the actors at the time that a casual bite wouldn't be possible according to sparklepire rules. Venom and all that. So, you know. There seem to be things on there that weren't cut so much as "were always unusable."

I saw that bite scene! It was so god-awful. They should burn the footage. flaxenescapee March 24 2009, 19:39:18 UTC
Oh, they filmed it for Stephanie Meyers' somebody's personal spank-bank.
