Seriously! I'm so glad everyone hates the new facebook design. Haha.

I was willing to give it a try like the other million times they've changed it. But as soon as videos, photos, and comments people posted to me started to randomly disappear then reappear I lost my patience.

you know, i moved out of utah (specifically the salt lake valley) almost 10 years ago. the whole time i lived there it was a cultural wasteland (or so it seemed to a teenager, except for sundance). and now.... well, now they get every damned concert i want to go to and appearances that would at the very least provide some lulz. and where do these things not take place? indiananpolis, where i live now. i feel like crying

When I was living there (In 2006 for all of 6 months) It was NOT what I expected! My home town of Gilbert was more convervative... SLC is hoppin! lol

Trust me, more happens in your neck of the woods than mine... NO ONE comes to Arizona... Except.... yeah, no one comes to AZ...

SLC proper is hoppin'. I made the mistake of thinking that since I'd heard such wonderful things about the main city that the eighteen thousand little surrounding suburbs would be fine to live in, and.... yeah, they are absolutely everything you have ever heard about Utah Mormons being batshit fucking insane, rude, and isolationist (and I AM Mormon). I'm from the South and I have never lived in a place more racist. You should hear the way they talk about Mexicans moving into the state- you'd think they were referencing plague rats. All my friends warned me not to move, but I was like, Oh, Salt Lake isn't so bad! And it isn't- if you're actually IN the city.

So, uh... tl;dr- SLC is fine, don't move to the suburbs if you value your sanity.

yeah, i kinda feel bad for having worked at a ski resort in park city when i was younger, especially since i only took the job to gawk at celebrities.
