So Prison Break has been canceled. This is my mother's second favorite TV show (I promise you, if the Jack Bauer Power Hour had been axed, you would have heard the rending of her garments from the other side of the globe). I totally pulled a 'CEDRIC DIGGORY IS EDWARD!?!?!?! I MUST SEE HIM BE AN AMERICAN" Then I went through the cast list and go excited all over again when I saw Jane Doe from Grey's Anatomy was Esme. Poor actors, I don't even go by their names. It's strictly the characters they play.

Yeah, but then they got put back into another prison--like, a really scary South American prison or something, I don't even know. I have no idea what they're doing now, I just see bits of it when I come down for dinner sometimes.

Unfortunately, we don't have the concept of shows being only one season long on purpose here. Everything's got to be run into the ground (or canceled before it can wrap up).

I know... that's what makes me a crazy person!

I just can't see how the first meeting went where they said "We have this show.. .this guy is going to break his brother out of prison over the course of the season."

"Good good. I like it. Give me three years."

"Buh?"

That is the reason why I loved, loved, loved Full Metal Alchemist. They established the world, they had stuff happen, they revealed the batshit crazy underlying plot, and THEN THEY RESOLVED IT. All in one season. (Granted, one Japanese season is the length of two American ones.) And they made enough off merchandising to laugh all the way to the bank.
