Huh! Hugh Jackman to host the Oscars... that is strangely compelling. I'm all for no opening monologue, but also, I am put in mind of his stage/musical career. (I.e. he isn't just a movie actor, he knows about stage presence; and in a pinch, he can break into song/dance!)

He doesn't do that "in a pinch" so much as "at every available opportunity." Not that I'm complaining.

I finally saw the movie last night. My friend and I went to a cinema that serves alcohol, and were the only two people in the theater. I have never laughed so hard at a film that was not intentionally funny, and it wasn't the beer.
