The sunshine is back!

Well, I had a nice long sleeps this morning. Got up, got a nice big pumpkin for the Third Annual Valkyrie/Dr. Typo Pumpkin Carving Party, and then wandered around Publix buying cheap-ass shit I didn't really need, but there you go. I did pick up a really tasty-smelling "body mist" with "the seductive scent of cherry blossom, red apple pomegranate [ ( Read more... )

Also, it may be chock full of glitter. I may totally be planning to wear it to a certain movie next month. These reports, however, cannot be confirmed.

My friends and I are planning on drenching ourselves in glitter for a certain movie, although we are worried about the chances of it ever coming out of our hair afterward.

Speaking from experience, DO NOT use actual glitter in your hair. Go buy glitter hairspray, it's much much better. It should be with the Halloween makeup and color hairspray at Walmart or Target. If you use actual glitter, most of it will sink down to the roots and not be seen, and you'll be washing it out for WEEKS.

You are very brave. My friends and I are planning to go to the midnight premiere, but I'm more than a little scared of the Twihards. We like the book for its Twinkie-ness, but mocking the Twihards by going covered in glitter sounds like asking for too much trouble...and Cleo's story of angry LOTR fans at the Two Towers opening weeked a while back has me thinking twice about pissing off that kind of group of rabid fans.

I'm being dragged to Twilight opening night and I, too, had thought to adorn myself with some sparklies. I really think it's just an excuse to be utterly silly - then again, that's the overall beauty of Twilight, isn't it? :D

That dream was awesome, btw. Poor thumb-sized baby.

Largely in thanks to your site and Growing Up Cullen my boyfriend is eager to be Edward Cullen for Halloween. I'm still debating the best way to bedazzle him.

Whatever you do, you have to get him some huge rumpled hair. After that, he can either go with book!Edward beige or emo!movie!Edward black. As for the glitter--depends on how blatant you want to go. What I bought today was a Sweet Couture (who? what?) glitter body mist for all of $5.99, and the glitter is fine but pretty visible. And that's after I rubbed it around a bit. You could also go with fine-grain craft glitter, although you'll be finding that all over the furniture for a few months afterwards. I would recommend going to a drugstore and looking at the girly glitter/bath/cosmetics aisle.

I would suggest for guys craft pearl dust rather than colour glitter. Apply it just like powdered makeup with a brush. Makes em opal.
