Wow, y'all. I need an internet brain vacation. The problem is, I don't have time for one--I have GOT to finish these annotations; it's just not even funny anymore, how long it's taking me. (Also, my grandmother's icemaker broke, and when she opened the freezer door, water poured out and ruined her old kitchen floor and now the tiles are twisting ( Read more... )

I just went to an NKOTB concert.

It wasn't the same as it was when I was 16.

My suggestion for a brain holiday involves gin and lime juice. *Nod* Cures breast cancer, says my BC survivor cousin.

OMG I was just at the NKOTB concert last night in Dallas. Covered the gig and got pics/did review (info and a few pics at my journal if you care). I had such an awesome time and the place was jam packed to the rooftops.

I was like... 13 or so when they were big. And I was obsessed. And I don't care what y'all think - Donnie is still hot!

Dude, no way...
I was 6 and 7 when I saw them in concert...first on the magic summer tour, and then on the hangin' tough tour. I LURRRVED Donnie. I even had those ginormous buttons and the dolls (YES, THE SCARY DOLLS!). I just turned 26 and wanted to go see them again-the show here in NM was scheduled for the day after my birthday, but they CANCELLED and I am heartbroken. And yes, I feel like a tool for admitting that.

Oh lord... I LOVE Upside Down Dogs. It's charming and odd at the same time, and a little hard to explain to people why you're dying of laughter at a dog lying on its back.

I know a website that always cheers me up - Cake Wrecks.

There's something about the failure of others, mixed with a sizeable amount of other people's cake-related misfortunes and a hearty chunk of snark that always gets me, right... *sniff*... here. *points to heart, tears up*

I barely made the NKOTB phase (I was 5), but my 13-year-old sister dug 'em hardcore. And I gotta say, I kind of loathed BSB/Nsync, but Everybody (Backstreet's Back) was just about one of the best videos ever. Because I was kind of a mini-goth at that time... Hanson was "my band," though, in 7th grade, which made me soooo uncool, because they were "so last year"... Yeeeeah.
