They did "retire" Felicity a few years ago, then brought her back a couple years later, I think when she had the movie and then they introduced the doll of her friend Elizabeth.
If they need more room, they could get rid of all the extra Kit stuff they introduced this summer. No doll needs a treehouse.

I dunno, discontinuing one of the more popular dolls just makes no sense whatsoever, unless the economy's affected their sales that badly that they figured the rush on Samantha dolls will keep last quarter sales figures up.

I have been trying to do the same, because after all of this build-up, I *have* to go see it. Although it might be best if I waited til it was on dvd, so the fangirls in the theater don't hurt me.
