Hmm... today's Journal Birthmonth Flashback? Let's go with Tiny Moist Hand.

Inspiration from The Fly is alright, I think. "Derivative" is just a derogatory way of saying they're building on previous popculture.

That baby Renesmee Bella link is by far the most terrifying thing I've seen all day. GAH.

My best friend has a bad habit of calling stupid things gay. I've been weaning her out of it little by little by pointing out if they were gay we'd like them a hell of a lot better.

I would love for "Spring Awakening" to be adapted into a movie. There are so many challenges though - for one, it's not your regular musical, where people burst out into song. Most of the time, the cast is singing into handheld mics. It adds a little something special to the play, and I'll really miss that if they can't get around it. Also, I haven't had a chance to see the new cast but it would be hard to top the energy of the OBC. If they could just get everyone together, that would be awesome.

I haven't seen the play, but from what I know of it, it seems like the songs are sort of a breaking free dreamworld thing, so maybe they could sort of set them outside the traditional setting in a concertish fashion. Not actually a concert of course, but more inside the characters' heads. Or something. This is why I don't direct movies. "You know, it could be like...stuff...and, you know?"
