Cute doggies. I have an eleven year old miniature American Eskimo and she looks fabulous all the time. No maintenance at all, except rubbing off the extra hair and trimming her paws a bit. I also have a fourteen year old Maltese, and oh my god, she's the most high maintenance creature on the planet! It takes hours to maintain her look. I just get her cut short a few times a year and trim off the nots now. She just cannot take the grooming required any more. She hates it!

I keep hearing about something called a Furminator? Maybe that would help?

I must get a furminator, pronto! My dogs see the brush or the scissors, and hide. Unfortunately, the Maltese is so old, she can't get away fast enough, so she still has to suffer occasionally. Poor baby.

Today Dooce wrote another ode to her Furminator, complete with photographic evidence. If my spaniel mix didn't go to the beauty shop every two weeks and get combed out there, I'd buy two.
