All quiet on the Southern front

A Breaking Dawn followup: I have had no flames on the recaps at all, which has terrified me because I'm just assuming that I will get them eventually, and the hey-it-hurts is only going to multiply the longer it takes them to get here, so I keep trying to imagine what's holding the Hater Brigade up, and all I can think is that maybe they're taking ( Read more... )

Enabling anonymous comments for the flames are totally worth it. Just sayin'. ;)

Heeeeee. I'm not a very good flame warrior, though. My idea of bringing it is to politely inform someone that they might be happier reading other LJs.

Hey, I LOL'd!

(my friend has unfortunately taken to using "furry" in real-life conversation. Since we jokingly tell others to "Lurk moar, n00b!", she decided that since I had been on the Internet so long that no fetish, no matter how bizarre, freaks me out anymore, she mockingly tells me to "Lurk less, furry!" Nothing against the furries but I AM NOT ONE. ARGH. Even if it is amusing. Unrelated rant is unrelated.)

Mmmm...I want some delicious Potter candy goodness. I've always like the Acid Pops, Whizzing Fizzbees and Ice Mice. I never could risk biting into a vomit flavored jelly bean to try the Every Flavored Beans.

Meh, I didn't think the vomit ones tasted that bad.
Alas, earwax

I haven't seen any of the other potter candies around here, sadly.

ROFL Eragon was one of the worst movies I've ever seen--it was so bad, it wasn't even funny....I could barely stand to watch it for the cheese! Sadly my friend likes the books though and dragged me to it....I'd rather watch LOTR and Star Wars back to back than that combination of the two! :p

Stephenie Meyer (optimistically) coined what she called "The Rob Effect," which is when people loudly hate something the first time they see it, read it, or hear about it, and then, as time passes, embrace it wholeheartedly. Basically, she's referring to the way the Twilight fandom threw back its collective head and howled when Robert Pattinson (who apparently goes by "Rob" in real life) got cast as Edward, and now they're all in love with him. So she was saying that she thought, or hoped, that the Rob Effect would kick in with the new book, and all her readers would just suddenly go, "Hey, Breaking Dawn is actually really good!"

No problem. I think she just mentioned it for the first time a few days ago, and I just happened to see the interview.
