Ha, I was thinking the same thing. I think I've heard an acoustic version on the radio, a live broadcast. They also did "Crushcrushcrush."

Check my reply to aurora. It may be the same one you heard, I don't know. The sound quality of the file is fantastic, though--they must have been recording it in the studio, as opposed to someone ripping it.

The file says it was live from Q101 in Chicago, so the radio station probably made a recording, but you're right, it sounds great. This wasn't the one I heard, obviously, but I'm sure they played it like this acoustically then too. Thanks!
