Tuesday night, (something clever)

Arrrrrrrr, tired. (Pirate-tired, apparently.) Did as much on “Cloverfield” and “The Golden Compass” as I could physically do without an internet connection (I felt like searching for links was slowing me down, particularly last night), which is a huge chunk of work. “Van Helsing” is also almost finished. I fear going back to “Hannibal in Fifteen ( Read more... )

Okay, that lived up to its full trainwrecky goodness. First Brooke going out with a bang, and then David A's HILARIOUS version of "Think Of Me"... I love him for committing that atrocity. And finally the other David who appeared to be missing some key teeth:

Oh God, I felt so awful for Brooke. I mean, I think she's been out of her depth for a couple of weeks now, but... wow. I don't know that I heard so much of David A, though, because my stepfather spent the entire song bitching that he hated the arrangement (which, to be fair, was kind of toothless and Adult Contemporary).

(Go Carly go!)

I love Carly so much. She has my vote tonight. I like Brooke too, but she really isn't up to this. She's such a sweet person, though, that I feel bad for her.

David A made me laugh through the whole song. It was like listening to a deliberate parody, and I guess I mean that in a good way. Part of it is that I know POTO's music REALLY well from childhood, so the contrast to Sarah Brightman is probably what triggered my funny bone.

Dude. Why don't they do a musical-themed night with a songwriter whose songs are actually awesome? Like, um. . . Sondheim?
