Does it never occur to people like Gibson or Ellis that Heath Ledger wasn't just some face on the screen--he was a man with a family, a real-live human being? This isn't an opportunity for attention-whoring; it's a man's untimely death. Asshats!

On that The Crow thing... ye gods. I commented else-LJ on The Day Of The Event Earlier This Week that the upcoming Dark Knight is going to get mythologized in some circles the same way that Brandon Lee's movie did, albeit not to the same extent.

A remake? Now? It just screams "really bad idea!" to me.
