Clarification about (and apology for!) the Harlan Ellison thing. Let me repeat that: Ellison apologized! I should issue a clarification of my own--I had heard the "little fuck" story, but the context I heard it in was that it had been attributed to Ellison (specifically, in an elevator) as well as a few other people, much the way Marie Antoinette ( Read more... )

The entire Karr thing freaks me out way too much. I'm not sure what's worse: that he might have killed her, or that there's no way he killed her but apparently enjoys pretending that he did.

EXACTLY. I think the way I phrased it to someone was "that he killed her, or that he didn't and just *wishes* he'd been the one who did." He's been charged with other things in the past (and I think some of those charges are still outstanding, even), though, so I think it's pretty clear that he needs to be locked up somewhere before he follows through with something.

Yeah, I think he's being taken to California for some outstanding child porn charge (shocker)...or I might be thinking of some other creepy pervert. Why are there so many of them?

No, California's him. Although I think he now also has some outstanding charges in Thailand. Which is where I kind of hope he ends up.

Dude, that picture (the slight spoiler one) with Steve Carell is the closest I've come to peeing my pants in public since I actually DID a little bit when I saw Jon Stewart do standup.

I have a massive crush on son Dwayne though. He had awesome chemistry with Carell, and his first words in the movie both made me laugh and wanna cry. I loved the whole damn thing.

Oh, man, I loved Dwayne. I still can't get over how good he was at that part--he really seemed like he was having a nervous breakdown, rather than just pitching an actorly fit. And "Welcome to Hell." I frickin' loved that.
