Quick updates

Finally recovering from my probably convention-induced sinus infection. Even after I fought off a tickle of a cough that only lasted a day or two, I felt weirdly clammy, not-feverish, and exhausted for another whole week. I mean, honestly, I was still that sick six weeks after Dragon Con 2014, so I'll take it. There's also some personal stuff going ( Read more... )

Glad to "hear" that meds work great for you and that you didn't have to interact with The Window Guy.

Maybe the Shelfians should take a break from fighting with squirrels for a while and do something about moths?

By the way, the Season 3 transcripts are already online.

I saw! I'm kind of afraid to read through the first four and find out exactly what I managed to misinterpret in the recaps, but I should probably read all the rest as I go.

Personally I would never fault you for misinterpreting even if that's the case, Cleo. The scripts have been shown to have extra stuff that drastically differs from what ends up on screen. Case in point (thank you Vivian for pointing this out!), in the Season 2 scripts our TreeBound!Hannibal in "Shiizakana" actually said "I love you." to Will. Fancy that!

Oh my goodness yes. I've been taking antidepressants for four years now (after pretty-much-lifelong depression) and I'm still figuring out my personality. It's like an awesome science experiment.

Glad to hear your treatment regimen is treating you so well!

A thought to keep in the back of your mind to think about once all the new meds have settled in and you've got a new baseline to work from: do you snore?

Because if the vitamin D is working wonders for your energy levels, it may be worth investigating whether you've also got sleep apnea sapping your mojo.

I have moderate sleep apnea, and getting an APAP machine didn't change my life or anything, but it has made a noticeable difference in how much cope I've got left when it's time to head home from work. (My hubby, OTOH, has severe sleep apnea, and for him it has made a huge difference.) And nowadays sleep studies are much less fuss than they used to be, so it's no longer a huge production to get it checked out.

Oh, that's really interesting--you know, I might, I don't know. The only complaint I've ever gotten from roommates is "you grind your teeth," but I don't think that's related to sleep apnea.
