@comingsoonnet: Francis Lawrence Offered The Hunger Games Sequel, Catching Fire

@HitFixDaniel: If you remember Francis Lawrence's handling of alt-reality dystopia on "Kings," he makes more sense for "Catching Fire."

@jenyamato: I prefer to think of Francis Lawrence as the guy who directed Gaga's "Bad Romance" video. That helps. #catchingfire

"Kings" as in the short-lived NBC show? *checks* Oh man, I was really bummed when that was cancelled. I feel like it may have succeeded if it had been given longer.

Jumping on the Swinton-as-Coin train now. I didn't really have a good mental picture of Coin when I read the books, but... yes, good. I like this.

Glad you're doing better. I hope things stay on the upswing for you.

Swinton as Coin? YES. GOOD.

Even though SWINTON looks nothing like my mental image of Coin, I want nothing more than for her to get the part now. It's too perfect. Also, I'm imagining her and Donald Sutherland having a creepy-off, and it is delightful.

Swinton as Coin would be PERFECT!!! How can we make this happen?

Other suggestions for Coin: Helen Mirren or Emma Thompson.

And if you haven't read Knife of Never Letting Go and its sequel, the Ask and the Answer, you really should; some of the parallels between tAatA and Mockingjay are really O_o.

I like Helen Mirren better, mostly because I pictured Coin around the same age as Snow.
