By the time I got to the end of this chapter, I was pretty sure Megs was gonna kill me for ruining the story. But the I reread, and I think at least for this chapter, I am safe.....but the story is evolving out of my control, bit by bit, mostly with Lotor's feelings! *face palm*

No! You didn't fail. A lot of times characters go through changes when you rewrite them. Especially if it has been years, like with this fic. If you feel this is the right Lotor than do not hesitate.

It was a good chapter with a lot of high riding emotions on Lotor's part. Personally, he doesn't come across as that nice to me. He is still treating Allura pretty badly, but he is just conflicted inside. I am not sure that itself is going soft. Actions do speak louder than words after all.

Oh thank you! *glomps* I was worried, cause the last few paragraphs...I mean in the original he was thinking that, but instead of himself he was thinking it for how he had wanted Allura to realize what she had missed out on, and be ruined for other men. Instead it sorta ended up with him like this is what I have been missing and will never find with any woman who is not Allura.

But then I had to reread the entire chapter to go over it, and saw most of it remained dark and hostile....so I haven't veered off the story just yet. But we'll see how his actions are affected by those thoughts as I write further chapters...

I am considering to pick a humour or more lighthearted fic to alternate with.......just cause it's hard to maintain being dark all the time. But I haven't decided which story that would be...

Yeah, he doesn't strike me as soft here at all.

Kind of the opposite with me. My fics aren't that dark. Which is amazing considering that use to be ALL I wrote.

I am working on a dark fic now.

Oh good! *relieved* Though I suspect that some will be disappointed he isn't soft. XD But I am happy if the story didn't change that drastically then!!
