aww, Jared. I guess it's pretty hard to convince dragons that there are decent human beings, and Jared is pretty much born to be that person.

Jared regularly ends up in the line of fire (pun not intended) when they rescue dragons. Heck, it still happens with Jensen, sometimes; a lifetime of slavery and torture isn't so easily forgotten. But you're right: if there's any human on the planet who's up for the job, it's definitely Jared.
