NEWSFLASH: SEG QUITS JOB AT HELPDESK!Admissions has offered me a higher paying and 'work-at-home' job. So I put in my 2 weeks and will be moving upstairs to the 5th floor. I posted this before, but on a non-Emerson only filter. No offence Emerson peoples (and others I missed), but I wanted to tell my bosses first before making it public

much grats. just beware of the helpdesk calling you up for "assistance" since you are closeby and all. they try and do that to me here due to proximity and the [whine]we are really strapped and reeallly if you could please[/whine]

Here's the beauty of the situation:

1. Emerson College prevents me from working more than 20hr a week, regardless of how many jobs I have.
2. Though my 'office' is located a floor above, I work off-campus all the time. No 'come down a floor' requests.

I'll still have to deal with IT and everyone since, well, I'm doing IT work. I just won't be cleaning up student computers and running around campus fixing Windows. Not to mention that this has full-time potential after I'm not a student.

sometimes you quit a job because you hate it, and you happen to be moving, so you can cite that as a reason over "i hate this job"
