Today in Acting class, Todd talked to us about the state of the department with a few topics. Mostly about the lack of people auditioning for Footlights and Directing scenes. There was also the topic of the communication with the departments from teachers, students, and such. Talk about e-mail mailing lists, and call boards. I had originally

Well, obviously enough people are auditioning for Footlights--usually those happen with department auditions, plus I audition and don't get cast, so there must be enough people to fill parts, at least. As for Directing scenes, well...those take up a lot of time for what they are. Most of the department already lives in Gilmore, we can't exactly be there 24/7--sorry if everyone else's schedules conflict with the directors'...it's not the students' fault. And I do audition for Directing scenes as well...I've done two this semester already.
