That...

Was that a chocobo?

Surely I'm going mad from lack of food and a proper bath.

No, it's definitely...

...A chocobo could be quite useful. Far more so than a Wild Saurian. I wonder whatever happened to 'El Matador' or whatever that blued-headed-buffoon called the damned thing...

In any case, anyone up for catching and taming a chocobo?

catch that yellow bird!, thanksgiving dinner wut?, holy shit chocobo!

What's a chocobo, and how is it useful?

Well you could eat it but it would serve far better as a source of eggs, and a mode of transport.

Transport to where?

Eating them sounds better. They're like birds?

Anywhere. Fiends usually do not attack chocobos so they're relatively safe transport.

They are birds, young lady. Large, feathery birds.

Quite friendly once tamed.

You can eat it? A cho- What is it like? Are they hard to catch?

Quite tricky, but if you know anything about birds, they give more to eat than just meat.

Yorda know about them!

...and you mean eggs, right? I know a place up the mountain, a ranch, that had a big chicken coop. We could look for more rolls of wire in the barn!

Well, by all means, ask the expert.

Yes, I mean eggs. And a coop sounds good though they generally need a fair bit of room to move around.

What manner of creature is this?

A large, flightless bird. Usually used for riding.

That would be most useful. If it is possible, I would like to assist if you intend to tame one.

Smelly birds out here?

Hey...how do you know about them?

Reply

clean_cuffs October 28 2008, 04:51:14 UTC
Surely no more smelly than the rest of us now.

...Because they are from my world.

I don't know about you, but I've been bathing more than they have.

You're from Gaia?!

As have I, but the lack of proper sanitation remains quite aggravating.

Gaia? Gods no. Ivalice.

What the hell is a chocobo?

Large bird used for riding. Not very good meat, but one egg can feed three people easily.

For... riding? ...I guess anything is possible.

Where did you last see one?

I saw one pecking around the edge of the forest. Killed a reaver without any trouble though it had a bit of help.
