Jess did make a good cup of tea.
Lester was quite surprised when she brought it into his office. After all, he'd been fairly rude to her that afternoon. It probably wasn't her fault that the CCTV cameras at the city centre anomaly site weren't working. And perhaps he had been a little unfair in his comments over her private line chat to Emily.
Still, he didn't want to come across as a soft touch. And all was fine now.
"Very nice."
She smiled all too sweetly. "It's a special blend. Pure mineral water. Enjoy."
