Darkness - Primeval drabble
The light had been so bright, so dazzling. For a few moments afterwards he thought that perhaps it had been too bright and that he was blinded.
Gradually his eyes adjusted. He could see the faint outlines of hills in the distance. Everything below them was shadowy and dark, but above them was the night sky.
