I know you can't stand that song, but I still really like it. I understand your issue with it though. I was also raised with the idea that a man should treat me a certain way. I think all parents want their daughters to be treated like princesses. But let's be honest, has it ever happened to you? Didn't think so. Hasn't happened to me either. Maybe they will treat you like gold for a little while, but it all changes eventually. Even the sweetest guys have a tendency to be jerks sometimes. The song is very sweet, and I like it because it describes qualities in a relationship I'll always wish I had and never get. If that's how you measure a man... then no man will ever measure up, and we'll all end up alone. Wow. I am way too bitter for a 24 year old.
