Razor Girl
So, I did my "leading the discussion" assignment today. We're reading Neuromancer, a cyberpunk novel. One of the main characters, Molly Millions has retractable/extendable razor blades under her fingernails, and a souped up nervous system. She also has occular implants that look like mirrored sunglasses. She's a street samurai, and fucking kick ass

Note: should you ever have a desire to dress up as her again -- for halloween or a Goth concert or something -- I recommend banjo picks as a good, cheap cyberpunk substitute for false nails. Sharpening them to points is not recommended unless you're very blood thirsty :)

The thing that drove me nuts about the false nails was mostly that they were long. I couldn't even type with the damn things on, and getting my socks and boots on required someone else's assistance. And then I spent about five minutes trying to get my iPod to work, because I couldn't get at the little slider. But I'll keep the banjo picks in mind for next time. They're probably cheaper, and multi-useful.
It was fun, though. I think I may get an A on the assignment strictly because I dressed up *giggles*
