Back from my weekend in DC with Gus. We made good time on the trip down and back - 5 hours flat each way. Hyatt AAA deal was awesome. Went to the National Zoo and the Phillips Collection, but best of all hung out with a high school buddy of mine and visited with

I know! I was really hoping it would happen. The plan doesn't include dental, but my COBRA plan that I have been on does, so I'll keep that and ditch medical for the cheaper option. Switching over will save me over $300 a month, which is uber great. Plus, 401K and 3 weeks vacation.

Thanks. I get to pay down my student loans a bit quicker now and save more too.

Heh, you thanked me. Don't worry. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I sometimes miss doing interviews and being all journalistic. It could occurred to me the other day that it could be fun to write a mock newspaper article about the Buffy characters, or somehow tell a story that way. Not sure how I would manage that though =/

the work stuff came through! oh, baby congrats! i know it's not the job of your lifetime, but also know you've been stressing a little, and i'm so happy to hear you have a workable plan in place and that, although far later than they should, your workplace has shown some "money where your mouth is" appreciation for your hard work and brilliance.

Thanks. I'm very pleased about the work stuff. Spent a lot of time this week dealing with paperwork. More to do this weekend also. But, for now, I'm going to start reading fic for Fang and try to enjoy myself. I have no weekend plans, so I might just bum around on the comp all day and write up the last day of WC and my DC trip.

I called earlier, but I guess you were out. I just signed up for IWRY marathon and I want to brainstorm fic ideas with you. I've got absolutely nothing in mind for this thing and could you a creative thinking session.

Totally! It was so nice to see eowyn_315. We've IMed a lot over the years, but this was only my second time seeing her in person. We had a lot of fun and she looked so darn cute. I gotta post the picture of us.
