Just wanted to say that Faith/Drusilla is with the beta and I expect to have Faith/Dawn up later in the evening. Does anyone have a Faith/Dawn icon or an icon of Dawn dancing at the Bronze in "Him?"
My dad said that he saw a Starling taking a keen interest in the eggs when mama was away. She better be careful.
However, I don't think it's much a problem now. The eggs hatched this afternoon! I'm a little worried what it might be like for those babes to take their first flying less though. Bombs away off a third story fire escape? Splat on thtet pavement? *cringe*
I know. I actually live across the street from Inwood Hill Park, which is the last remaining primordial forrest in New York. There's a lot of wildlife and when I was a kiddie we had a bird feeder that attracted all manner of birds.
It's a little embarassing how excited my family is about our new neighbors. My mom called me this evening when I was leaving work and said, "We have babies!" The eggs hatched this afternoon :D
Great! I hope it lives up to expectations. We'll see what sort of f/b the beta has for me.
Also, that is a very strange place to nest... Lets hope it goes well for the little bird. I'm happy to announce that as of this afternoon, she's a proud new mommy. 2 of her 3 eggs hatched :)
Yeah, they're beautiful. We were commenting on that the other day.
More pics on the way. 2 of the 3 eggs hatched this afternoon. Enter squirmy, embrionic chicks. They're really not too cute prior to their downy feathers. More like... slugs or something. Bluh.
