*grins* Thanks. It wrote itself. I was trying to think of an appropriately crude question for Anya to ask, and the first line popped into my head.

I also wanted the chance to write Spike & Anya drunkenly slow dancing to Frank Sinatra on the back porch. Sweet and somewhat contrary, but they're at least 100 years older than most of the people in that house. How could they not like the Classics?

Thanks! The dialogue was my favorite part to write. Anya's got such a specific, crude, pointed way of talking that I didn't have much trouble channeling her.

When I write things like this I want to point and say, "Hey! Hey! I can be funny, too!"

I am always up for Anya fic and this is hilarious! (I found this through the link on late_season_love btw.) It's great that you have them dancing together - this is the first fic I've read that has Spike dancing with anyone besides Buffy or Dru. I would have loved to see more Spike & Anya friendship in S7 and S6 for that matter. (Then again, I would have loved more of Anya, period. After Selfless they barely knew what to do with her.)

Glad you enjoyed this one! I remember laughing while writing this. It came really quickly. So much of my work is Angst City, but these fun, silly pieces were a real treat to write every now and then.

I bet Spike is an amazing dancer :) And I bet these two had a lot of nostalgic conversations about the old days, being evil, etc. I actually don't know of any Spike & Anya fics. Maybe I'll look to see if there is a tag at buffyversetop5.

Ha! Yeah, the only action that Spike got was with his own hand. What a bleak existence :(
