Museum of the Danish Resistance is very high on my list of things to do in Copenhagen.

That, and the fact that mom will never forgive me if I don't bring her a Little Mermaid souvenir. :)

OMG a little mermaid souvenir. Haha, can you imagine how us local Copenhageners have grown tired of the statue, and laugh at the various defacements it has endured (Greenpeace graffiti, decapitation etc.)?

The National Museum has some interesting exhibitions (including the Museum of the Danish Resistance) , and since January 1st the admission is free.
Many Danes will somehow feel that we didn't resist much during the war, it was pretty futile to send the army to battle the Germans. But there was a handful of brave resistance people, though, committing sabotage and helping the Allied forces.
Also, a lot of brave men and women helped Jews to escape to Sweden - had they not, then my bf would not have been born.....

Of course. That reminds me of Montréalers willing to have the Olympic Stadium (1976) destroyed. Wait, it isn't finished paying yet! :p

You won't have to worry about me, I hate looking like a tourist like a passion. I will be a very discreet visitor :)
