Oh my dear! You finally wrote some Balin and Bilbo friendship fic--HURRAH! HUZZAH! YAY!

This is utterly beautiful. I love the way he's telling Frodo, and the way he's remembering everything.

So far as canon goes, Balin's the only Dwarf who ever came to visit Bilbo; I've often thought he must have visited other times and that Frodo might have met him, because Frodo was so sad in Moria.

Anyway--I loved this, just as I'd always thought I would if you did, and you did!

That's such a sweet scene! And i love how you get inside Bilbo's head about what he thought of the adventure. It's so cool that Frodo said that he would want his own adventure some day.
