I KNOW IT'S AMAZING.
I think this is the first adaptation of a book I actually like just as much as the book. Dunno if you've ever read any Discworld? But it's awesome. And the movie too. And I forgive them for making Vetinari blonde.
And Richard Coyle was in Coupling too, so Moffat already knows him. HE'S PERFECTTTT.
Also Charles Dance should be the Mast.

I've been told I should read it, but every time I see it at the bookstore I'm always like "HOLY FRIGGING CRAP THERE'S SO MUCH OF IT."

It is indeed awesome. Season 1 is the only one that was released here, sadly, but it's enough for me to love it. And Sam Troughton practically steals the show as Much, but that's to be expected considering his genes.

Speaking of Pat, apparently some thought-to-be-lost stuff he was in was just uncovered in the Library of Congress. It doesn't say anything about any missing Two episodes, unfortunately, but still...PAT.

I've seen both The Infinite Quest and Dreamland and I liked the former better, but that's probably because it had Martha in it.

*further modifies the question to After Matt got a decent run in the role, and if I could cast anyone I want, who would be the 12th Doctor?*

Ewan McGregor.

Yes, because he was Young Obi-Wan. Though I had previously seen him in Trainspotting. I even have a costume in mind. Because I'm that much of a freakin geek.

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS. I frigging love Ewan McGregor and I haven't seen him in enough things. Star Wars, Moulin Rouge, Big Fish...and I think that's it (I could SWEAR I'm missing something, though...)
