Apparently Troughton had Hartnell's title sequence for his first season. A much brighter version of it, too. Part of it, anyway. His definite title sequence made its debut in The Macra Terror.
Poor Jamie. He had just had his "bigger on the inside" experience, visited Atlantis and got dressed in rubber for the first time for the enjoyment of the fangirls, but he's still trying to adjust to it all.
My reconstruction for this serial has the narrative subtitles and quite a clear picture quality, so it's definitely from a different group. My Power of the Daleks recon, on the other hand, doesn't have the subtitles but the telesnaps are edited in such a way that they are not necessary.
Wait a sec..."let us collect our young friend"..."let me go see Jamie"...WHAT happened to him WHEN? You must have figured it out from the telesnaps by now, but he jumped too far, hit his head, and suffered a concussion.
Or you could just let us stare at his partially exposed chest for a bit, I guess that works too. No complaints from me. :P
I see...I've been watching the reconstructions on a playlist on DailyMotion, so if they keep using Butterfly Effect recons for the Troughton serials, I might have to look and see if I can find the Loose Cannon recons somewhere else on the interwebs.
Glitter Gun? I seem to remember seeing something similar used by Seven in a scene I saw from Remembrance of the Daleks. I called it a disco ball cannon.
...I must make some macros out of that picspam now.
Just pray that you won't find any reconstructions like the one I have for The Faceless Ones - not only is it strangely blurry, but the narrative subtitles are lime green(!!!) and absolutely impossible to read (not to mention that the closing credits say Jamie was played by "Frazier Hinze"). I don't know who made that one, but I think I should try to find out soon, if only to tell people what to avoid.
I think that might be the same weapon, yes. It's called a Glitter Gun and it appeared for the first time in Revenge of the Cybermen.
Feel free to macro away! And if you want to see more, I also capped the surviving episodes of The Underwater Menace and The Faceless Ones; I must work on Victoria's episodes one of these days...
And I saw that you have a "picspam" tag on your journal. I just browsed through them a bit, but I think I'll look at the other episode-based ones once I've actually seen them.
In the meantime...

The old school Cybermen have humanoid skeletons because they came from an Earthlike planet and developed along similar lines, until they Cyberized themselves.
At this juncture, let me rant about why Cybusmen are a fail. They fail not because they are steel instead of silver, that's forgivable. Not because they are from an alternate timeline, that's actually kinda smart. Nor because they have a coroporate robber baron origin, that's forgiveable. Though there is a problem with Lumic, and I'll get to that in a minute.
The problem is; look at them. Marching aong, one arm extended, chanting "Delete, delete, delete." That's not Cybermen, that's Daleks with arms and legs and a different kill-phrase. And Lumic is their Davros. THAT is why they fail.

I'd have to agree with you on that. I was rooting for the Daleks during Army of Ghosts and Doomsday because I'm not that fond of the cybusmen. I actually liked the Cybermen in Earthshock because they weren't speaking in monotone and I thought that made them more interesting.
As a note, if you're watching the recons on a TEENY SCREEN anyway, you might do what I do while watching and pop open transcripts of the episode in question and just read-along (you don't have a chime to turn the page though). http://dwtpscripts.tripod.com/index.html
It's got some of the more muddled dialog, as well as descriptions of what the hell is happening between some of these black squares with greyish blobs on them. The site has definitely gotten me though some really crap recons.
I'm very found of Moonbase. Not only for Jamie's cute face but for how smart Polly and Ben are. Classic (B&W) Who is full of smart companions (for the 60's of course!) and people who could drag their way out of any Cybership or shot a Dalek to death.
I don't like Cybermen from Pete's world because they're not very scary, of course no one wants to be uploaded but they don't have the visual impact you expect. They're just things made of steel. Moffat made a little improvement in The Pandorica Opens showing us what they have inside but I think it was the black&white and bad audio that made them scary.
I was never too fond of the Cybermen because their concept seemed too generic. I was rooting for the Daleks in Doomsday. I like the JNT-era Cybermen though, because they're allowed to have actual vocal inflections. For some reason I just find that more interesting.
I watched the first episode of Attack of Cybermen and I thought it was very good (don't know why people hate Six so much), the cyber clothes weren't the best but their heads are pretty good.
I won't be watching Attack of the Cybermen for a while because I hear it's a semi-sequel to Resurrection of the Daleks (which I haven't seen yet). So far, I've liked all the Six serials I've seen with the HUGE exception of The Twin Dilemma which was just...gah, no.
