little help out there
So. A few weeks back I applied for this job that I really really REALLY want. Like, it's pretty much my dream job. And based on the timetable for hiring that I was given by the organization, I'm guessing that if I don't hear something about at least an interview by tomorrow, it's pretty much a no-go. I can't decide if I want to fall in love. Not that there's anyone to do so with right now, but just in general. I think usually I lean towards "no," but occasionally I'll hear a song or see a picture or something on the teevee that will make me think maybe it would be nice. -

Friday before last I went down to MOCA to check out "Skin+Bones", an exhibit about fashion and architecture that I've been drooling over for awhile. I quite love both subjects, which I guess is surprising given that i live in a garage and can't dress myself if it doesn't involve some form of t-shirt. I received word today that one of the program officers in my divison at NSF, with whom I worked daily (there were only about 30 people in my division), died very suddenly over the weekend. He apparently had a throat infection which caused some sort of respiratory problem which led, very unexpectedly and suddenly, to respiratory failure. He was ( Read more... ) -
