(not so) massive defriending

Aug 29, 2005 12:26

I just spent some time trimming my flist. I know I don't have nearly as many friends as some people, but there were people on there who hadn't posted in a while or whose interests had diverged from mine. I also left a lot of communities that I hadn't even bothered putting on any filter ( Read more... )

*waves*

You made me think about the last time I posted.

*shakes head at month absence*

Yeah, so I am not posting much anymore. *g* But if you don't mind I'll hang around for your book reviews, I enjoy those, and anything else you decide to leave unflocked.

Hey! There you are! :-) I know you'd been getting a bit overwhelmed what with kids and the even more immature kids on the school board, so I wasn't overly surprised when you dropped off the face of the earth. But if you're really still around but just not currently posting, I'll run back and re-add you, so that when you do post, I'll know. I was gonna put a sentence in my post about how if I defriended and someone actually bothered to read me, let me know and I'll redo, but then I thought, nah, no one actually reads this!

I'm glad to hear you enjoy the book reviews. I have fun doing them, because I get to bitch about all my little peeves. I have way more than I was aware of before I was keeping track. But I found that with such a variety coming from booksfree, I couldn't remember which authors I had read and hated, read and loved, or not read and wanted to. So now all I have to do is go back and I can read all about why I completely loathed a book and will never read another word the author writes!

I do read my flist everyday, but by the time I get a chance to sit down and post I have forgotten everything I was going to say. Plus I feel bad about posting late at night, although I at least should so I can say I use LJ. *g* So, yeah, even though I don't comment I do read your enteries.

Love to read the book reviews, so keep that up. I like to know what others think, that way I don't totally waste my time on a bad book.

I know the feeling. When I was working, I would note little things in my head and half-compose lj entries for them. Except by the time I got to the second or third thing, I had forgotten the first one. And then by the time I got home, I would only remember one thing and half of what I'd wanted to say about it. And that was way too much trouble, so I didn't even bother.

Why should you feel bad about posting late at night?
