So, I have decided that Grinnell should be my home for the next four years. Seriously. I loved loved loved the campus; it just felt right. I was more at ease walking around by myself there than I was wandering around Illinois' campus with a group of good friends. Go figure ( Read more... )

Isn't it amazing when you find somewhere that just seems right? I'm happy for you; Grinnell sounds awesome (and I wish Carleton had study carrels like that)!

Money... yeah. I'm going to be in crazy amounts of debt after I get out of here, but my experience here thus far is making it totally worth it. I hope the same works out for you. :)

Yeah, I'm weighing an amazing (and expensive) undergrad experience against very little debt . . . The experience is winning. Whatever, I'll just live in a box after college. ;)

Dude, you'll totally make it into an ensemble. Six graduating flutes, remember? More room for the Beckster!

How many bands does augie have?

It's wonderful to have that feeling that something just fits. And I agree with Kelly that I wish Carleton had those study carrel things! Although we do have very comfy couches... And, yeah, money is the downside to small liberal arts colleges, but the experience is definitely worth it. I knew that a large, impersonal state university would not have been good for me.

That feeling is a good one -- go for it! I felt the exact same way when I set foot on Trinity's campus. You've found the one, man!
