Mmm, so my host father told me this morning that SNCF is going on strike at 20h00 on Sunday, which is exactly the time that my first train is scheduled to arrive in the city where I change to the second one to get home. How nice of them to let us know.

According to infolignes, no striking is forseen for the Nord-Pas-De-Calais, so you should be okay to catch the train in Douai. Paris might be more difficult--although the real problems look like Bordeaux and Toulouse.
