"Not one line" and "fantastic" in the same paragraph, arrgh, you almost made me cry!<3 I adore the way they interact with each other, and I'm really glad I gave this fic a try - TenII was what made me do it, since I'm not really a big fan of Eleven.:/ It was such a great idea - the premise of Rose staying with the Doctor, too - and incredible characterization; you made Mels almost more believable than she was in the episode.;) Also, the chemistry between the two of them was wonderful. I guess I always had a soft spot for John Smith.;)

I'm glad you gave this fic a try, too! Mels got short shrift in the show, and I love stories that expand on her a little bit. I thought her and Ten II would have quite a bit in common - both of them human AND timelord.

Oh how I love this.

I love Mels' attitude, I totally forgot to read the header so I didn't know it was AU until it was made clear, I actually think I may have enjoyed it even more because of that. And I also missed the word count and just set off reading. It certainly didn't feel like it was that length! I was looking for the next part because I knew you were looking for beta for 7k words!

Love the way Mels is characterised, there definitely wasn't enough of her in the programme-proper.

Thanks! I debated about how much info to put in the head because I do think the story is better when you figure it out for yourself, but then one comment I got said they couldn't understand why Rose was with the Doctor - so they totally didn't get it or read the notes! lol. Go figure.

Well I had no trouble following it. In the beginning I thought the "bimbo" was River, I thought it was brilliant when it was revealed to be Rose. Poor ole 10II cast aside like that, I loved the list of alcohol he imbibed, I have a friend like that!
