What a weeeeird week. Since I was on top of my shit for once (at least, where school was concerned) I was not stressed out AT ALL, while everyone else at DePaul seemed to be running around with their heads cut off, in preparation for finals

I also love orange juice. In a country you'd think would be all about fresh fruit juices, I can't get any. People say juice here, and they mean fucking Tang. It took me 6 months not to get excited when I heard "juice." And enough oranges to make a good amount of freshly squeezed would cost too much :(

My friend Megan asked why they didn't have juice, and her host father thought about it a while, then said it just never occurred to them. WTF?

with my second host family, all we had at dinner was tang or coke. oh my god.
