Oh yeah, it's so free and friendly to indefinitely detain refugees. Harpooned and then fed to jellyfish, maybe. Bitch. Not that we're any better over here; I read something on Thursday about a family (4 young kids) being arrested at dawn and deported to somewhere they'd been firebombed and arrested (home office had declined ot read their evidence and hadn't translated supporting documents). Nice. Wanking stupid immigration policies.

There have been a fair few people who've been sent back to violent regimes from the comfort of their detention centres. A fair few of them haven't been heard from since.

There are no words that will push it into even a "statement". I'm horrified. At least our national anthem is just standard national-anthem-wankery. This is... painful.

If it catches on, I'm moving to Canada (but I say that every time we even have a freakin' election...).
