Dissection for so long, because they're always associated with that dreaded term "melodic" mixed in with "black" and "death" metal. I'm usually not a fan of black metal unless it's first wave or mixed with thrash or death metal (no, I never "got" Darkthrone, and continue to not do so), and I certainly can't stand

Emperor: NO. Anything by Ihsahn is brilliant, stfu. (That was as friendly as a stfu can be, by the way.)
In Flames: When I saw them live, they specifically avoided playing older stuff. So the "you like to suck" sounds about right.

But yes. Next on the list is Storm.... I've listened to Somberlain about three times today - it's just magnificent. How come it's always the most talented artists who die early and in a somewhat strange manner???

I don't think you could've seen me in metal_community, as I've never been a member there.
Anyway, you were right. I needed to burn underwear after listening to Storm... ;) Seriously, though, I think I prefer The Somberlain just slightly, although listening to something for the first time that I love generally tends to skew my opinion.
Glad you like my tags, too. I seem to be using the "anti-everything-other-people-like" one a lot these days!
