The Blues is traditionally associated with the southern USA, the Mississippi delta, Memphis, etc. I propose that the current home of the blue is not there. It's either Staines or some godforsaken former mining town in Yorkshire

I don't think people in Yorkshire have ever heard of the blues. You'd have to have some exposure
to them dark folk for that!

I think that unless you're a sooper hardcore gansta (wicked!) holy shit, I am so white life's pretty damned depressing regardless of what colour you are or where you live.

I have good prospects, so for me it is a case of the espresso machine being jammed, but for many it's a case of minimal education, crappy, boring jobs and a unforfilling social life. And all the time whilst seeing how well all these other people are doing and goddamnit, why can't you have any of that. (Part of the reason we've got quite a low life expectancy, the differences between the socio-economic gap is huge.)
Even if you have a good career lined up, it don't mean you aye got baggage which inhibits your happiness and well being, but that can happen anywhere.

It could be worse than in England. At least here if you get ill you don't have to worry about paying for it.
