This is kinda mean but I thought it was hilarious. From a review of the Manchester Apollo gig...

Perma-baseball-cap-clad Patrick Stump may be the singer but, being blessed with the on stage charisma of a three-day-old piece of toast,it's Wentz that is the focus, leading the throng in a chant of "It's a God! Damn! Arms! Race!" during This Ain't A ( Read more... )

I know! But the thing with Patrick is that, yeah he's quiet a lot of the time, but when he does 'come out of his shell' he's every bit as charismatic as Pete. Like in interviews, most often Patrick is pretty shy and quiet but you get the occasional one where he's talkative and then he's so funny and sweet and awesome (not to mention giggly, I love giggly Patrick!)

No-one could ever compare him to stale toast then. Maybe to fresh toast though, just out of the toaster you know 'cause it's all hot and tasty and it melts anything it touches... Wait, what? Got sidetracked...

Aaaanyway, yeah I agree, he doesn't need to be as loud as Pete, he's got his own thing going on. I mean, quiet IS the new loud ;)

I vaguely remember something about Patrick not being fond of doing the talking on stage. He had to do the talking parts after Pete's Best Buy incident. He doesn't have to talk. He's just got to belt out those pretty words, play and look amazing. And he excels in all these categories.

Patrick is charismatic when he talks in interviews. But maybe I'm slightly biased because I adore him and think he can do no wrong. Also, THIGHS!

Awwww! He's so adorably shy. I have no idea what that reporter was on though, was he expecting Patrick to do cartwheels while he sings and plays the guitar? Whatever. I think he's perfect on stage, that little thing he does with his legs when he's singing... *sigh* He just oozes awesome wherever he goes.

You're not biased it's just one of the facts of life, Patrick can do no wrong.

P.S. I watched My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side... today. OMG the pole dancing... Pete is very um... athletic? WTF? *iz ded*

Oh god, that leg thing kills me! The only reason I can forgive them not being able to say "god" when they perform Arms Race on TV is Patrick's little foot stomp thing he does at the part. And it's amazingly wonderful just watching him play guitar and sing. No cartwheels, handstands, or fancy ballet moves necessary.

Yes! How does Pete do that? I mean, he's good at it! How can this be? Where did he learn that?!

Haha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets all funny over Patrick's legs. What is up with them not saying "God" though? They say it on the TV and radio over here, when did "God" become an offensive word? It's madness I tell you! Madness!

Mmmm I don't know but he's very sexy entertaining to watch. He probably took lessons so he could impress Patrick on his birthday. I only hope Patrick showed more interest in Pete than he did in the stripper!
