It just seems that after I try so hard, no matter what I do, everyone makes sure that I know that I shouldn't have the confidence that I have achieved. They find a way every time to let me know that I am not worth the energy it took to go from day to day. I don't know why people insist on making something of nothing and attempt to bring people down

Chin up young man! Obviously you are not going to change the way you are and no one should ever ask you too. So, just be consistent with yourself and what you do. Good things will come of it but taking steps back are ok, just make sure that your legs lead you back to where you were and past that point.
