Angelic Layer and CLAMP

Mar 08, 2010 08:14

I have been considering getting the Angelic Layer Blu-ray set, and I was actually wondering what involvment, if any, CLAMP had in the production of the anime. I've looked at a couple sites where I can normally find this info. But for Angelic Layer I've had no luck. Thanks.

ann doesn't list them under any of the episode scripts, but then again, it could be that nobody really kept track of that info.

Bones did quite a great job on the series as a whole. It develops a little differently than the manga which is the case for most CLAMP anime.

I picked up the whole series on DVD for a really good deal, but you can watch the whole series on crunchyroll to see if you like it.

Actually, I've already seen it. And I thought it was pretty good, though a little slow at times. I actually in general have a policy of only buying R2 releases of CLAMP anime if CLAMP themselves had some sort of significant involvement in the adaption. For example, even though the 2nd season of Rayearth was very different from the last 3 volumes of the manga. Ookawa wrote all of the scripts for the entire season.

Oh, and I live in Japan, so I can't watch Crunchyroll. XP

Anime is different from manga but anime did well....in my opinion pretty much inferior to manga. I don't recall CLAMP is involved with Angelic Layer anime production. They had 4 different guys working on scripts for anime. They just credited CLAMP for their original work.

Buying boxset...I usually look at what boxset offers, does it contains all episodes, features, etcs..? Is the price too expensive or reasonable price. It is your favourite? Is it worth it? True HD or just upscaling? List goes on.

Thinking of Japan releasing all these CLAMP anime in bluray just enough make me jealous. I DO WANT!!!!
