The themes for Week 297 are as follows, you may submit two different CLAMP icons provided they each fit at least one of the challenges below. A list of series and galleries are available here for your convenience.
General: Game
You must somehow represent this concept in your icon. You are not limited to using the actual word itself; you can use a variation of it, one that is similar in meaning or a related term. You can also use phrases and imagery that reflect the theme.

You must use at least one of the textures shown below. You may colour, cut, crop or combine them however you wish, as well as include outside imagery and other materials, so long as it is still clear that you incoporated the provided resource(s):
Poetry: War Song
You must use at least three consecutive words from the following poem. It is not necessary to maintain punctuation/letter casing and you may substitue alternate characters for words where appropriate (e.g. and with &) and vice versa. You are not allowed to incorporate any external text with the exception of tinytext/brushes that are purely decorative and not legible.
War Song

In anguish we uplift
A new unhallowed song:
The race is to the swift;
The battle to the strong.
Of old it was ordained
That we, in packs like curs,
Some thirty million trained
And licensed murderers,
In crime should live and act,
If cunning folk say sooth
Who flay the naked fact
And carve the heart of truth.
The rulers cry aloud,
"We cannot cancel war,
The end and bloody shroud
Of wrongs the worst abhor,
And order's swaddling band:
Know that relentless strife
Remains by sea and land
The holiest law of life.
From fear in every guise,
From sloth, from lust of pelf,
By war's great sacrifice
The world redeems itself.
War is the source, the theme
Of art; the goal, the bent
And brilliant academe
Of noble sentiment;
The augury, the dawn
Of golden times of grace;
The true catholicon,
And blood-bath of the race."
We thirty million trained
And licensed murderers,
Like zanies rigged, and chained
By drill and scourge and curse
In shackles of despair
We know not how to break --
What do we victims care
For art, what interest take
In things unseen, unheard?
Some diplomat no doubt
Will launch a heedless word,
And lurking war leap out!
We spell-bound armies then,
Huge brutes in dumb distress,
Machines compact of men
Who once had consciences,
Must trample harvests down --
Vineyard, and corn and oil;
Dismantle town by town,
Hamlet and homestead spoil
On each appointed path,
Till lust of havoc light
A blood-red blaze of wrath
In every frenzied sight.
In many a mountain pass,
Or meadow green and fresh,
Mass shall encounter mass
Of shuddering human flesh;
Opposing ordnance roar
Across the swaths of slain,
And blood in torrents pour
In vain -- always in vain,
For war breeds war again!
The shameful dream is past,
The subtle maze untrod:
We recognise at last
That war is not of God.
And remember that each icon you enter earns you one ballot for September's Submitter of the Month contest as well as a set number of cards for TCG Exchange if you choose to participate there.

- The icon(s) must be made by you, this includes not stealing icons or copying tutorials
- Your icon(s) must feature imagery from a CLAMP series (anime/manga) or artwork *
* Only Code Geass illustrations drawn by CLAMP themselves are allowed, no anime/manga/etc.
- It must meet LJ requirements (100x100 and 40 kb or less, gif/jpg/png format)
- It should be recently made to fit the theme and kept anonymous/secret throughout
- You may repeat, mix and match or alternate the provided themes as you wish
Do Not's
- Do not use/distribute/advertise your submission publicly/reveal your identity
- Doujinshi/Fanart/Cosplay images are not allowed, you must use official art only
- Refrain from using any sexually explicit imagery or overly coarse language
Other's
- Please credit outside sources (e.g. brushes, textures, bases, lyrics, quotes)
- You may provide translations/definitions (e.g. foreign languages, tiny text, large words)
- If submitting an icon variation to a current & anonymous icontest, check with both mods
- If you change/edit your submission let me know so I can replace/upload the right one
If something is amiss with your submission I will reply/inform you of it and give you a chance to either resubmit the icon or fix the comment depending. It is at my discretion to disqaulify you for failure to follow these guidelines.
