Sign-Ups: Week 400
I'm very proud to say that we have reached Week 400 here at clamp_icontest, and as luck would have it, just in time to celebrate our yearly anniversary this weekend as well XD In honour of the occasion(s) I've decided to do something special and hold a 20x20=400 Challenge!
This contest will run similarly to those at the various 20in20 communities out there, I just felt like being a math geek there for a moment >.> First step is to sign up at this post and claim one favourite CLAMP character to work with, only they can appear in all twenty of your icons. You cannot choose a character already taken by another member, but there are a lot of different characters to choose from so hopefully everyone can get something they like.
NOTE: Because this is CLAMP (lol)... Twins, clones and visually similar siblings all count as separate characters, so make sure that you can distinguish between them if you claim one. In the cases of crossover characters, if they still look the same and have a similar personality/background story (e.g. Yuuko from xxxHolic & Tsubusa Reservoir Chronicle) then you can use images of them from both series for your claim. If they undergo a fairly significant appearance change or have a different personality/background story (e.g. Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura vs Sakura from Tsubusa Reservoir Chronicle) then I'd count them as two separate claims, so technically two different members can each icon one version of the 'same' character in these cases.

You will have until Friday, June 28th at 11:00 PM Eastern to sign-up! Feel free to spread the word to your friends or members of any communities you run, you may hot-link the above banner if you wish :)
After sign-ups close, I'll announce the subjects you need to work with (10 General Themes, 5 Special Category, 5 Artist's Choice) and you will have 20 days from then to make 20 icons that fit each of them. To make this different than previous icon set challenges, I'll be giving all participants posting access so that you can all promote your set individually here (great way to advertise your icon journal to a large group) instead of waiting for the group showcase, plus it will give members a chance to comment and get a sneak peak before voting goes up. All posts will also be tagged by me so that people can look at them later on if they so wish.
In regards to voting, the 10 General Theme icons will each be voted on individually in their respective themes, with only one winner being announced from each. The 5 Special Category and 5 Artist's Choice icons will both be voted on as a set, again with only one winner being chosen from each; there will be no individual Top # ballot. Voting will be done through screened comment (I'll provide a form for easy voting) not polls. There will be a tiebreaker round if we have more than one winner for any section(s).
Once that is all done Results will then be posted announcing all 12 final winners! I'll be making placement banners for those who request one, and possibly participation banners if I get around to finishing the ones I still owe first ;-; If you participate at tcg_exchange you will be able to claim the standard highest card prize for submitting your set, voting and placing first(s).
There may be more information I am forgetting at the moment since I'm excited ;p but I'll remember and add it in later. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please leave a reply at the designated thread and I'll get back to you asap.

Week 399's challenge is still running, we currently have 4 fantastic icons, but I'd still love to see more by the deadline! You have until later on tonight Friday, June 21st at 11:00 PM Eastern to submit over there (not here please because comments aren't screened).
