I haven't finished NG yet so I've been pretty much staying away from any spoilers. Not going to read X's review yet either. :)
I was too busy last weekend so the plan is to watch eps 15-20 next Sunday as I feel I need to have a separate time alloted to getting to the journey's end. As luck would have it I'm working on Sat too. Sigh.
Resisting the urge to say anything about the final five eps lest I spoil them for you, but it's harder than I thought. Feel like I need to say something. :P *bites tongue, sits on hands*
I find it interesting that he calls this drama a "normal" one, even by the definition he presents where normal equals happiness, because I've always read Nice Guy as being a more believable makjang.
And I appreciated that it took these sort of typical melodrama OTT topics - deadly illness, amnesia, revenge, murder - and presented it in a way that didn't feel completely unbelievable.
And while the ending felt a bit pat, I agree that there was beauty in the sincerity of it. I'm quite enamored with the ending for Maru and Eungi because it didn't feel like one. It felt like a beginning.
