Good to know. In a way it's a good thing that subs will probably take a while to appear because I've got far too many things to watch right now and don't really need another drama added to the pile.

I hear the PD's messing with the scripts and the writer quit midway (there's going to be a different writer from ep. 6 or something), which makes me apprehensive, but I'm enjoying the cast in these roles so can't give up just yet. Another sign that the way k-dramas work, it really is better to let a few eps. lapse before picking up.

I wouldn't say that. It's the hottest drama right now in Korea, sold all the ads for the entire run, the network/SBS & the production company couldn't be happier with how well it's performing... It'd be worse (esp. for the cast and crew) if the BTS changes took place while it was struggling in the ratings. And I haven't heard of any tensions on set because of this.

As for the actual fight re: the creative control, it's rather complicated and too convoluted to sum up. (I read up the details, even had a chance to read the different versions of the scripts.) It was really a clash of two different visions for the drama, and it's the PD/director who prevailed in the end. I liked what each brought to the table, and what's been broadcast so far is a product of both visions. Would have been great if they could have met halfway but still, it's just too soon to say how it's going to affect the drama until we're further along.
