HOUSEKEEPING ENTRY

Mar 27, 2011 20:43

First I will announce currently my stomach hurts in ways similar to when it’s That Time of The MonthTM.

Most likely this comes from my not having practised Oboe since the last time I encountered certain Bassoonists of attractive demeanours on Thursday.

This is all wrong and I should pull Alexander out again before my next planned practice session with Nick on Tuesday to apologise, especially because I have become Teh Performance Major, as of 2007.
He whoas me with science (i.e. with Theory) but I’m srsly catching back up with that - der Rimple Meister will set me straight next term.

Aurals is mysteriously so much harder without the same level of Theory to back up what I learn.

CONSIDERING NONMUSICAL PARTS OF MY DEGREE, at 9 tomorrow I will talk with Kernie about my Oratory class. I want to eventually read what Cicero said about Rhetorics...

De Oratore, my Google!search told me. And his other books. Checking the University library to see what I have available… Okay! I need to run up to the 5th floor of the FHGL and locate De Oratore and De Inventione. I understand Latin, don't worry!! Even a bit of Greek these days.

Perhaps I could tell Kernie I am in search of these books and request time from her tutelage to locate them. (I think my Latin is… acceptable… um *cough* I’ve been working through the Latin-study list through several exercises to keep me sharp!)

875.1 and thereabouts; fifth floor… I can remember that. Mother doubts my memory, which is selective. I remember clearly, for example, the joys of embracing certain bassoonists… ♥ just not exactly what I had for lunch

Tomorrow, 9:15 or so!!

ANYWAY I wanted to think about Graph Theory et cetera rather than speaking!
Sadly, that’ll have to wait until Wednesday, because I have just decided Monday and Tuesday are rhetorical days besides the Concert Tuesday evening.

In the meanwhiles, I am learning about the Sun in Astronomy…

At 5:30pm I am going to Sykes with the other Women in Science to learn about the GRE, which has apparently just become harder, lol.
It won’t matter to me if/when I take it because I’ll never have had the chance for the old, presumably easier, one.

Then Tuesday besides my Dressage and the rest of the day I have my concert with Nick! Hopefully he’ll approve of my performance. And the audience. But seriously, who cares about the audience now? I'm making them wait while I catch my breath.

Then Wednesday I want to drop by my advisor’s office to get myself in the right courses next semester, and then Wednesday evening the conductor has invited me back for the WCU Symphony Orchestra’s performance of a Mahler symphony. Mahler’s scary no I don’t want

I’ll get to Mahler from Wednesday through the next Orchestra concert… he died right around my birthday, eep
