Zero was alone, in too many senses of the word. Forte and Plum had taken off for the evening, going to one of Plum's friends' New Year's Eve bashes; they'd be out well into tomorrow. Mentally, Zero was going through a bit of grieving, and a bit of guilt; X's accident had taken it's toll on his mind, resulting in his shout-out for some company. He felt terrible, he really did; as a result, since then, he had been in an almost non-stop cycle of physical training, visiting X, and sleeping. His appetite was all but shot, and he didn't look for any reasons to leave the house. His excuse, when asked, was the cold ( ... )

Leviathan shrugged. "I don't mind the cold," she replied at his comment, though she wasted little time stepping through the open door once she was invited. She paused only to knock the snow from the soles of her boots ( ... )

"Nope... but I'm not in a celebrating mood right now." Zero dabbed the towel at his forehead before wiping down his neck. "Things have been... crazy, to say the least." He slung the towel over the back of his chair. His tanktop was a little sweat-stained, but freshly so, so he didn't think to change it. At least not right away. "I'd imagine... three brothers would be pretty loud come party-time, huh?" He let a half-hearted smile cross his face, remembering the literal hell that his father's home would spiral into for New Year's ( ... )

"I'm not worried," Leviathan murmured, bending a little to pet the large dog's shoulders, allowing him to sniff at his leisure. "I like animals." Most activists did, and she was no exception. Still, she didn't know that Zero owned a dog.

She lifted her head, looking around the living room with an expression of quiet unease. Now that she had the chance to get a good gander, it was exactly like she dreamed it. And there's no way she would have seen this before. What the heck?

Her attention snapped back to Zero, and she blinked, startled out of her thoughts. "Ah...? Oh. That's right." She looked down at Gospel, petting him again. "Don't worry about it. I'm not holding a grudge." Besides, Phantom told her who else he'd danced with, which raised six pairs of eyebrows.
